It is customary to make New Year's resolution. In acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, it is often talked about longevity and Yin (substance) being a true driver of long-term success in health and anything else we do.
(Yang is action in contrast to planning and strategy which is Yin )

Ingredients: Chicken, sweet potatoes, broccoli, beets (all steamed), cilantro and tomatoes, salt, black pepper, olive oil
Below at the bottom

I listed few things that are good for everyone's health and wellbeing no matter who you are and what you do, so please read through.

As busy New Yorkers or other urban city dwellers or simply everyday busy Janes and Joes we get off track with our goals.

There are 365 days in a year and that is our substance and Yin, not just a one day of resolution.

(This acupuncture video shows acupressure on a specific acupoint for stress relief, better sleep, and nausea all at the same time. (see your MD about your condition).

As a licensed acupuncturist in NYC and a small business owner, I get busy with my patients and daily business activities and like everyone else get sidetracked and need a daily or weekly reminder and alignment to achieve my goals.

It would make sense to make a New Year resolution a 365-day resolution. Every day should be a reminder of what your yearly commitments and goals are and practiced on a daily basis as we know, practice makes it perfect, and we all mess up.

I do not know what other people's commitments to self-improvement are but mine is about better time management discipline and doing more Yoga, Meditation, Exercising and keeping a company of people with good vibes and like minds.

It's about cooking with superfoods, eating better for better health and athletic endurance and longevity.
daily love in New York City

Practice daily gratitude as it keeps your mind and moods happy and appreciative of this life we were given to live to the fullest with little regrets and lots of learning experiences.  It also keeps depression away and elevates your moods.

Daily and random acts of kindness without expectations and attachments is also a good way to fulfill some happiness gaps for everyone. As you make others happy, happiness comes back to you even though it may not be appreciated by others at the time of action. It is about you doing good for others NOT yourself.

Exercising, even 6-15 min a day is a great thing. Even if it's only 1 or few sets of pushups or sit-ups with stretches afterward or few Yoga postures.

Food. Eat few avocados, red beets, and walnuts a week or Chia seeds (great before or after meals) for weight loss. Eat light meals in the evening and preferably stop eating after 7-8pm. Light fruit is ok. Eat a clove of garlic once 2-4 times a month, it could save your life as it is beneficial for the heart.

Sleep at least 7-8 hours a day.  If you are not waking up refreshed, you are not having a good sleep neither its good is takes you more than 15 to fall asleep.  It means something, somewhere is out of tune in your life and it needs work. Sleep of deep restful nature keeps us recharged, full of energy and with the strong immune system and ability for body cells and DNA to get prepared.

Be well,
