In Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, food is considered the No. 1 treatment and the first line of defense.

Food is medicine, it really is.

As a licensed acupuncturist in NYC, my clients often ask me what they should eat for health.

Most people eat 3 meals a day. What you put in your body will keep you afloat or sink your health and energy.

In order to absorb food and nutrients, you need good digestion. The large intestine, small intestine, and Spleen are just a few important organs responsible for food absorption and digestion.

Therapies in our clinic such as ozone therapy, bioresonance, Chinese Herbs, and acupuncture, to name a few can help regulate your digestion.

After doing a little research I decided to put extra virgin olive oil first. Everyone has a bottle of olive oil in their home and it's super easy to use it.
You can take a spoonful of it 3 times a day with food or add it to your salads or food.

I like organic virgin oil from Whole Foods best. It slightly burns your throat after drinking it.
