Tree of Life Acupuncture NYC Center
As a small business owner of an acupuncture clinic in New York City, I wear many hats and sometimes I as many others need a little time to recharge. I work by Union Square in Manhattan and always get out to eat in the Union Square Park that has many tries and a bit of peace and quiet.
In China as in many Meditation Countries, people take long breaks or power naps. When Chinese government wanted to model after the Western way of working and banned lunch naps, surgeons and many others started making more mistakes and were less productive.
Eating lunch outdoors is good for your mental health, the lungs and the liver and even the kidneys ( not evaluated by the FDA of course).
New or pleasant sensory experiences according to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine affect certain organs. Breathing fresh air benefits the lungs, seeing the liver, hearing the kidneys and tasting the stomach and spleen.
The reason why we take vacations, walks by the beach or in the park or lake is to change our environment and patterns of processing information mentally, physically and emotionally.
So don't just sit there get out, you eat lunch every day.

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine promote closeness to nature.
In big busy cities like New York City, people are stressed and always in a hurry. Many office workers eat lunch at their desks.
